Lips

As we age, our lips can become thinner and lose their borders, giving the mouth a tighter appearance. The mouth and lip area appear less youthful and are more prone to developing wrinkles. Additionally, you may notice that your lipsticks and lip liners smudge, making it difficult to achieve a luscious look on a night out.

Lip enhancements should not be frightening. I will give you complete control over the amount of injection and the location of the injection in the lip. If you're unsure what you want, we can advise you on the day by assessing your lip shape and size in order to achieve the best possible result.

Lips can be simply plumped up or borders injected to add shape and a seductive pout. Additionally, at Fadoua Aesthetics, we offer a variety of dermal fillers to choose from, ranging from natural and subtle to more glamorous, I've treated lips of all ages.

 

I believe in a progressive approach to lip development. We typically apply 1ml to both the top and bottom lip and adhere to simple lip rules for a natural appearance.

The lower lip should always be fuller than the upper lip by a factor of approximately 1:6. When the upper lip becomes more prominent, a trout pout effect occurs.

While full pouty lips can be seductive, if you appear to be pouting constantly without making that facial movement, you have too much filler in the lip. The full pout is a clear indication that you have overdone it on the fillers – something Fadoua Aesthetics strongly opposes. 

 Individuals do not need to guess that you have received treatment. We are vehemently opposed to the duck-lips or over-filled sausage effect that dermal filler can produce in the hands of an inexperienced practitioner.

Nose to mouth lines (nasolabial folds)

These lines or deep grooves appear around the mouth over time and may be indicative of ageing. They develop as collagen degrades in the face, resulting in a loss of elasticity. As a result, we develop depression in the upper facial tissues, which results in the formation of a ledge and a fold around the mouth area. These folds develop gradually over time but can be a telltale sign of our generation.

 

Placing a soft dermal filler in this area can help smooth the grooves and create a more gentle and uniform appearance.

 

The treatment simply replenishes the collagen that has been lost over time and can help lift the face. Marionettes (sad/down-turned mouth)

Collagen loss around the mouth corners, which results in grooves and a sad appearance, typically occurs in our forties. It is a cruel aspect of ageing and is frequently the primary source of concern for many clients. These folds can be a dead giveaway of your age, as they cause the sides of your face to droop and give you a grumpy appearance, even when you're happy. Dermal fillers can be used to lift and brighten the appearance of a sad mouth. Say goodbye to the marionette lines that make you appear and feel older than you actually are.

 

However, clients frequently inquire as to why they are called marionette lines. This is a French term for a wooden puppet with the ability to open and close its mouth vertically without moving the rest of the face.

 

These lines are formed as a result of gravity, volume loss, and the pull of the depressor muscle attached to the lip's edge, which becomes increasingly tight over time. As a result, your mid-cheek areas recede and deep creases form. A small amount of dermal filler in this area, approximately half a syringe on each side, can help achieve a more uniform, smooth appearance.

 

We frequently combine this procedure with a small anti-wrinkle injection to assist in reversing the depressor muscle's pull as well. This combination treatment can significantly improve the appearance of the lower face.
